Aunty Min's is happy to provide dog walking and cat sitting services in Bainbridge Island, Washington. Since 2002, we have provided professional pet care for your cats, dogs, and caged pets. We offer midday walks or park outings while you're at work for your dogs; and midday playtime and vacation visits for your cats and caged pets. We aim to help YOU get your furry family members the love, attention, and proper exercise they deserve.

Our services cater to a variety of pets, including cats and small animals. For cats, we offer engaging playtime sessions, comforting laptime, and even "cat walks" outside using a harness. Additionally, we ensure the cleanliness of litter box(es) and provide fresh food and water. Light grooming, such as brushing, is also available, and if necessary and permitted, we can administer medications.
For small animals, we provide fresh food and water and engaging playtime sessions to keep them entertained and active if applicable.
When it comes to your house, you can rest assured that we prioritize its security. We can bring in your mail and newspaper, water your plants, and even rotate lights and blinds to create the impression of an occupied home, enhancing its safety.

Woof Walks/Fido Fun

Woof Walks offer the perfect opportunity for small group dog walks or playful interactions with other dogs. Dogs need to be sociable with both other dogs and people to participate. To ensure eligibility, multiple visits with Aunty Min's may be necessary.
Additionally, there is an additional fee of $10.00 per each extra family dog

All dog walks are weather dependent. If we are experiencing inclement weather, we may stay inside to play/visit with quick outings for potty.

Aunty Min's POLICIES/FAQS

The initial consultation is free. Please have two keys available for us at the initial visit - one for the sitter and one for the office/backup if needed. All keys have a tag with the pet's name on the tag, not your personal information. Alternatively, a lockbox is a good choice. Additional visits to pick up and/or drop off keys will be charged $20.00 per trip.
All cats must remain INDOORS while under our care. We will happily take them outside on a harness (leashed) or in the cat stroller.
Notify us when you return home from your vacation (regardless of time). If you don't contact your sitter and we head out for a visit, you will be charged for the visit.
If we haven't seen your pet for 90 or more days, a "re-introduction" visit is required at a rate of $20.00.
A local emergency / key contact is required. (see "Snow/Inclement Weather Policy" below)
We do clean up pet accidents that we see with a cleaning solution (i.e., Nature's Miracle, Bio Kleen Bac-Out) that you provide. Otherwise, we will clean up with paper towels and water.
We like to take pictures/videos of pets and like to use them in social media, marketing materials, etc. Every effort will be made to photograph only the pet, not the surrounding area, to disclose location or ownership. If you do not want your pet(s) in any form of advertising, please let Janet Anderson-Davis know.
BITES: If the pet(s) should harm (i.e., bite) a member of Aunty Min's specialized Pet Care Team, the client will be responsible for medical costs related to the incident (i.e., doctor visits, antibiotics, etc...).
VETERINARY CARE: Under any situation, every attempt will be made to take the pet to the veterinary clinic the client has stated on the pet form. If a situation occurs after normal business hours and emergency care is needed, the pet will be taken to Animal Emergency & Trauma Center in Poulsbo. Aunty Min's Specialized Pet Care, Inc. will make every attempt to contact the owner for permission or instruction if any animal requires medical attention except in the case of an emergency. The owner agrees to pay any charges incurred by Aunty Min's Specialized Pet Care, Inc. for any veterinary care.

CANCELLATIONS

Vacation care cancellation policy: 50% of booked services if cancellation occurs within 48 hours of scheduled visits. 24-hour or same-day cancellations will be charged the full amount.
Dog walk cancellation policy: Walks canceled before 8 am will not be charged for that day's dog walks. Cancellations after 8 am will be charged for the day's dog walks.

SNOW/INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

DAILY /MID-DAY WALKS /VISITS

If roads are safe enough for driving, we will attempt to do our usual visit. However, we may not be able to do a regular walk but instead may have a potty break and inside playtime.
If roads appear snowy/icy at our houses, we may need to cancel our walks and will be in touch in the morning to discuss with you. If you know ahead of time that you will not be going in to work due to inclement weather conditions, please call or email me immediately.

FOR VACATIONERS

If the roads are too unsafe to drive in the early morning and evening, we may have to adjust our scheduled visit times. Please ensure that we have a neighbor or local contact to let your pets out and feed them in the unlikely situation that we cannot leave our homes.

DO YOU CHARGE EXTRA FOR HOLIDAYS?

Yes - there is an additional $12.00 per visit fee on the following holidays:
Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day

HOW MUCH NOTICE DO YOU NEED BEFORE STARTING VISITS?

One week for new clients to set up the initial consultation and two weeks (at least) during holidays and peak vacation times.
Initial consultations are free and generally last between 20-30 minutes. Additional “reintroductions” are $20.00.

WILL YOU COME EVERY OTHER DAY FOR VACATION VISITS?

No…. We need to see the pet each day to make sure they are healthy & secure.

HOW WILL YOU HANDLE MY KEYS?

Keys should be given to your sitter during the initial consultation. All keys have a tag with the pet's name on them (not your personal name or address). If we have not seen your pet for over a year, keys may be destroyed.

HOW DO YOU HANDLE PAYMENT?

We accept checks and cash. We do not accept credit cards at this time. An invoice will be emailed to you upon completion of visits. For first-time clients, payment will need to be made in advance.
